In 2021 Iratxe Ansa and Igor Bacovich wanted to pay tribute to Carmen Mateu, founder of the Peralada Festival, in 2021, with the piece Camelia, as this was the flower of choice this great patron of the arts always wore in her lapel.
Camelia, with music by the Catalan Marc Álvarez, is a pas de deux representing this passionate, and bravely active woman. Through their performers, this duet tries to represent the finesse and perseverance with which Carmen Mateu impelled the development and popularity of dance as an artform.
