Los siete pecados capitales

“Ballet chanté” SATÍRICO EN SIETE ESCENAS – MÚSICA DE KURT WEILL, LIBRETO DE BERTOLT BRECHT.

Iratxe Ansa and Igor Bacovich fit the choreography for the satirical Sung Ballet into seven scenes. Los siete pecados capitales, premiered at the Teatro Arriaga in Bilbao, under the auspices of stage manager Barbora Horáková Joly and musical director Iker Sánchez Silva.

Situated in the roaring 20s from the past century, this satirical cabaret with music by Kurt Weill and script by Bertolt Brecht denounces the double standard through a corrosive cynicism.

This Sung Ballet, where every movement corresponds to a capital sin, once again mixes popular European music with an air of swing, thus blending valses and marches with rhythms of foxtrot or ragtime.
